The Big Win
Even though Laura was devastated by the news she just received from her husband, the joy she felt for the fact that she had just won the lottery was such an overpowering sense of happiness. Instead of dwelling on how sad she was, she started to think of all of the things she could do for herself with all of this money. Would she travel the world, buy herself a fancy car, or do something else just for her with the cash?

Laura’s Letter
Laura’s first instict was to start to reply to Jack’s letter with her own. She addressed the letter as, “Dear Ex-Husband”, and poured all of her feelings out onto this sheet of notebook paper. She told him exactly what a punch-in-the-gut feeling reading his note gave her, and how, even though they were married for seven years, he was not a good man or a good husband.
