As their boat got closer to the iceberg, they had an easier time seeing that there was something sitting on it. There was definitely a dark spot of something on the iceberg, but they were still too far to determine exactly what it was. Mallory assumed that it was a seal trying to get on top of the iceberg, but that wasn’t the case.
