The next incredible woman on our list is none other than Oprah Winfrey. No matter where in the world people are from, her name is very well known. Winfrey started her TV career during her later teenage years, she became the youngest person and first African-American woman to read the main news bulletin. Nowadays, she is a media icon as well as one of the most famous people in the world. Oprah has also contributed a lot of her time and energy into a variety of charity organizations, one of which is a school she recently established in South Africa, Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. No questions asked she was one extraordinary woman!
Amelia Earhart
In 1921, at the young age of 24, Amelia Earhart took up aviation. Just a few years after this she became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She then continued to break many records, both in speed and flying, this then led her to fly international around the world, where she swiftly became the first person to fly from the Red Sea to India. Furthermore, Earhart worked as an aviation editor for Cosmopolitan magazine and published 2 books that were actually based on her personal aviation experience.
