Ruth Bader Ginsburg
New York Native, Ruth Bader was very much influenced by her mother from a young age. Her mom taught her the importance of life and the value of education. Later on in life, Ruth became an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, where she successfully fought for women’s rights and gender equality until she passed away in 2020. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was considered to be one of the biggest feminist icons and thus inspired millions of people all over the globe.
Malala Yousafzai
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani student was just 11 years old at the time that her anonymous diary was discovered. Her diary gave a lot of insight into what life what like under the rule of an extreme organization called, The Taliban. When her diary was found, she and her family were living in north-west Pakistan, Yousafzai wrote about her dream to further her education even though The Taliban’s plan was to ban girls’ education altogether. A large number of people from all over the world read her amazing diary and were completely astonished. It was from this moment that Malala won over many people’s support and admiration. At just 14 years old, she became the youngest person to ever win a Nobel Peace Prize. Malala is now world-famous and continues to fight for girls rights’.
