Rowdy Roddy Piper
Rowdy Roddy Piper was born Roderick George Toombs. He spent 30 years in pro wrestling! He usually had a “villain” role and was a crowd favorite. In 2005, he got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The year after that, he announced that he was suffering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He fought a long battle against it, but he ultimately died from a cardiac arrest in 2015.
Marc Mero – $3 Million
Marc Mero got the moniker Johnny B. Badd late in his pro wrestling career. He simply used his real name in the beginning. Like other wrestlers, he suffered health issues after retiring. He had an enlarged heart and was advised to get heart surgery. He decided to postpone it, but the condition resolved itself! He now works as a motivational speaker.
