You might not recognize him, but he is still alive and kicking! Rip Rogers brought home the NWA Mid-American Heavyweight Championship title, but he lost all the money he earned. He also tried to use GoFundMe to get everything sorted out but failed to raise enough funds. However, it is nice to hear that his old fans donated to the cause anyway.

After his pro wrestling career, Bret Sergeant Hart or The Hitman became a writer and actor. He changed the way people view wrestling and held onto championships for fifty years! Perhaps you will recognize his voice from The Simpsons or have read his column at the Calgary Sun before. In 2016, he got a prostate cancer diagnosis but beat it. He is now cancer-free!
