Understandably, Cher’s divorce really devastated her and with her personal life scrutinized by the public, she needed a break. Therefore Cher took a break from the entertainment industry and laid low. However in 1979, she a comeback with her new album “Take Me Home”, a disco-orientated album that earned her $300,000 per week. She had a residency show in good ol’ Las Vegas from 1980 until 1982. Additionally, she took on other ventures such as film.

However just nine days after they exchanged vows, the duo filed for divorce – Allman’s hard drug and alcohol addictions played a major fact in the quick divorce. But the roller coaster continues as they reconciled within just a month. In 1976, Cher welcomed her second baby, with Allman, Elijah Blue.
