Ernest Hemingway
The original hipster, no sorry, just kidding. Hemingway was a brilliant author who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and contributed more to the English and Literature world than he would ever know.
Almost everyone has read one of his books, whether they read A Farewell to Arms, The Old Man and the Sea or The Sun Also Rises. In 1961, he committed suicide and directed his final words to his lovely wife Mary, “Goodnight my kitten.”
Alfred Hitchcock
Quite often, Hitchcock was referred to as “The Master of Suspense,” which isn’t so surprising as he pioneered many elements of the suspense and psychological thriller genres we all know and love today.
His words are sheer poetry, “One never knows the ending. One has to die to know exactly what happens after death, although Catholics have their hopes.” Hitchcock died of kidney failure.
