In case you don’t know it, Marx was known as a master of quick wit and is often considered as one of the best comedians of the modern era. Over his lifetime, he made 13 movies with his brothers, the famous Marx brothers.
In June of 1977, he was hospitalized with pneumonia. There he died about two months later, just four months after his brother Gummo died. This star’s final words rang very true to his character, “This is no way to live.”
