When season seven was set to premier, everyone had started to prepare themselves for the death of a major character as it had been announced well in advance, but no one, NO ONE, was prepared for what followed. We watched as not just one, but ~two~ main characters were brutally murdered by Negan. Abraham and Glenn were bludgeoned to death (!) in front of their loved ones. Yeah. No amount of time is going to heal these wounds.

Many fans believed that Walter would eventually die from lung cancer but that’s not how it went down at all. Instead we watched as he successfully took down the bad guys, and got wounded in the dizzying spray of bullets. He then tragically, albeit peacefully died in his lab, after he took a look around nostalgically. Just ugh.
