Homeland was the kind of show that had everyone reeling week in and week out. So imagine our surprise when Carrie tells Brody that she’s pregnant with his child (yay!), and then he’s convicted of treason and is sentenced to death. Against his clear wishes, Carrie attends his execution and witnesses as he’s hung in a public square and she’s calling out his name. UGH.

When Will Gardner, the kind, admirable, gentle friend and senior partner was killed, almost everyone was up in arms with rage and grief. Especially in the circumstances surrounding his death, Will was tragically gunned down in court while he was representing a deranged client. Now the producers had little choice to do so as the actor playing him (Josh Charles) chose to leave the show.
