After it got canceled, the Gunsmoke Guns were robbed through a hole in the ceiling. The police didn’t know if it was done by one person or more, but the robbers got away with 3 rifles and 12 handguns. Plenty of news sources say it was such an unfortunate incident that no one could have been prepared for what happened to the family just a few weeks later.

Richard Wyatt Did Not Have A Gun License
Another thing that’s been found out is that Richard Wyatt didn’t have a permit to sell guns. Back in 2012, he somehow lost his Federal Firearms License for violating federal laws and regulations. He kept on selling firearms through a straw license that was owned by someone else. He was accused of changing the address of a different store to Gunsmoke’s. When a person would buy a gun at Gunsmoke, they were asked to go to Triggers and fill out all the paperwork there. It might seem like nothing more than a loophole, but in 2016, he got indicted for this.
