Make Edging Easier
While you are edging the garden, one of the biggest challenges waiting for you would be the creation of a straight line surrounding the area. The good news is that you can fix this easily. You only have to put down a 2 x 6 board at the end of the garden. Keep the board straight and plant your foot above it to keep it from moving. After that, shove a spade into the ground at the end of this board. Use it to leave a line until you get to the end of the board. Keep doing it around your garden and only move the board as necessary. When you are finished, you can admire your beautifully straight and clean line.
Use Old Sponges
You should not only be concerned with underwatering your garden because overwatering is also bad for your plants. If the water starts to settle at the bottom of your pot, the roots might rot and kill the plant. You need to maintain a balance! This can be achieved by adding old sponges to the bottom of your pot. This is a good way to soak up the excess water but maintain enough moisture.
