Their parents stayed true to their word. The kids met up on weekends and spent time together. They had a lot of things to talk about now that they had new friends and new experiences. Their lives were starting to drift away from one another.

Sadly, these weekly visits would start to happen less and less. As they got older, the playdates no longer happened as frequently as it used to. The photo below shows Laura and Mat enjoying each other’s company on Christmas day. After some time, the holiday would be the only time they stayed in touch.
