Florence Nightingale

No list of nursing would be complete without the impact Florence Nightingale made on nursing. In 1981 the first-ever nursing school was opened by Florence Nightingale. Before she opened this school and enabled the standards of nursing to develop, nurses were simply learning and practicing through trial and error, they mostly had no education or training in nursing behind them. She is the reason nursing is a proper profession.
