For 24 years, Michael “Sugar” Ray Richardson slew it on the NBA floor. His career, unfortunately, was cut short when the commissioner gave him a lifetime ban in 1986. He kept playing in different parts of the world after that and event spent 14 years in Europe. In 2002, he retired and tried his hand at coaching for a couple of years. However, he eventually found his calling as a substitute teacher. He is now in his sixties and teaches in Oklahoma. He helps with a youth camp for children in need as well!
