After his pro wrestling career, Bret Sergeant Hart or The Hitman became a writer and actor. He changed the way people view wrestling and held onto championships for fifty years! Perhaps you will recognize his voice from The Simpsons or have read his column at the Calgary Sun before. In 2016, he got a prostate cancer diagnosis but beat it. He is now cancer-free!

You should not rely on Virgil for help with fitness or finances. However, he did go on to be a successful pro wrestler. Like his colleagues, he launched a GoFundMe page as well and attended wrestling conventions to get out of poverty. It did not work for him either.
