Saving Private Ryan

Despite what you’ve thought, it is highly improbable for Tom Hanks to destroy a German Tiger tank with only a Colt .45, but for some reason, it’s enough to make it disappear. Captain Miller’s iconic moment of shooting what amounts to spitballs at the 50-ton behemoth was one of the most memorable moments of Saving Private Ryan. Thankfully, the cavalry arrived in the form of a P-51 dropping a bomb to blow the Panzer to bits! The only problem was, soon after, the smoldering carcass of the tank is nowhere to be found! It made quite a confusing scene that seems to be inevitable with such a big project.

Forrest Gump

Not being picky with the list having quite a number of Tom Hanks movies in it, but in Forrest Gump, as the titular character becomes a ‘real shrimp boat captain’, Gump and Lieutenant Dan made a haul after a ferocious hurricane… of dead shrimp? Not only the color was suspect, nor the fact that the shrimp themselves aren’t moving to begin with. What was the most outstanding culprit was that every single shrimp already had their heads chopped off! Even if we’re accustomed to seeing shrimp in our plates, one would expect fresh shrimp harvested from the sea would be a little more vibrant. No one can blame Gump with that predicament since Bubba didn’t tell him what to look out for.
